Tickets £22, including Day 1 lunch at the Watershed

Following the success of the Bristol Pound and the surge of interest in local currencies it has created, we invite you to the Conference to join together and help to create the Guild of Independent Currencies.

We aim to help other places to create a wave of new independent currencies around the UK, and we will be sharing all we have learnt so far with the Bristol Pound.

We have currency schemes, new and existing, coming from all around the country including Totnes, Lewes, Brixton, Cardiff, Oxford, Brighton, Taunton, Torbay, Kingston and Southampton.

Whether you are at the very early research and thinking stage, or if you’ve been busy already getting your local currency off of the ground, there will be something of use to you at the conference. You’ll also be able to meet other groups around the country and share experiences.

With the support of InnovateUK, the UK’s innovation agency, we are developing the Guild of Independent Currencies to make it as easy as possible for you to launch and operate your own independent currency: through shared technology, best practice and support.

Day 1: 9.30am – 4.45pm

The first day includes a line up of keynote talks, Q&As and activities introducing the Guild of Independent Currencies, your part in creating the guild and talking about how to get your currency to launch, amongst other interesting and helpful topics.

Day 2: 9.30 – 12.30pm

The second day will be a morning of practical workshops, from getting businesses on board, enganging the public, looking at paper pounds and talking through the electronic currency.

We look forward to seeing you…
